TetleysTLDR: The Summary
We need to keep banging this home. The UK Labour government is criminalising peaceful protest while aiding and abetting Israeli war crimes. Over 100 people were arrested this weekend simply for holding placards supporting [Cannot name them because our Government are cunts that are complicit in war crimes] a non-violent group exposing Britain’s arms trade with Israel. Médecins Sans Frontières was threatened legally for calling out genocide, and John Mann is pushing baseless claims to shut down criticism of Israel by conflating it with anti-Semitism.This isn’t democracy. It’s authoritarianism in defence of apartheid and murder.
Starmer, Lammy, Cooper and every politician complicit in this repression and cover-up don’t belong in Westminster, they belong at The Hague.
The Article
To Whom It May Concern, and to every citizen still paying attention,
There is something seriously wrong in this country. When a government conflates peaceful protest with terrorism, it no longer serves the people, it serves power. Today, in Britain, the right to dissent is under attack by those in government. The Government is spearheading a crackdown on civil liberties and shielding international crimes from scrutiny. Keir Starmer, David Lammy, Yvette Cooper, and Labour Friends of Israel are not defenders of democracy, they are dismantlers of it.
This weekend alone, over 100 people were arrested in protests around the country simply for holding placards in support of [Cannot name them because our Government are cunts that are complicit in war crimes], following its recent proscription as a so-called terrorist organisation by the Home Secretary (The Guardian, 15 July 2025). No violence. No threat to the public, just signs, slogans, and solidarity. For this, British citizens were detained and are currently sitting in police cells.
This is not the behaviour of a free nation.
This is not the behaviour of a government that champions free speech.
It is the behaviour of a state terrified of truth. The proscription of [Cannot name them because our Government are cunts that are complicit in war crimes] a direct-action group that targets UK-based arms companies supplying Israel is an authoritarian escalation. These activists damage property, not people. Their actions target Elbit Systems and others directly complicit in the killing of civilians in Gaza (Palestine Action, July 2025). And yet, they are branded terrorists, while war crimes go unchallenged and arms deals continue. This is not justice. It is state protection of corporate murder.
The UK, under this Government, continues to licence weapons exports to Israel (CAAT, 2024), and Elbit Systems still operates factories and offices on British soil. British-made components have ended up in drones and bombs used to target hospitals, journalists, and aid convoys in Gaza. Instead of halting this trade, the government criminalises those who oppose it. Below is a list of potential international crimes and legal violations that the UK Government may be committing or complicit in through its support for Israel during the Gaza offensive. Each item includes references to relevant international treaties, conventions, and legal frameworks with a focus on UK obligations.
1. Complicity in War Crimes
Legal Basis:
Summary:
The UK supplies arms, components, and technology to Israel. These are used in repeated, documented attacks on civilians, hospitals, schools, and infrastructure in Gaza, which may constitute war crimes. The UK continues these transfers despite overwhelming evidence from the UN, Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, and MSF.

2. Failure to Prevent Genocide
Legal Basis:
Summary:
Numerous legal scholars, UN experts, and human rights groups have warned of a plausible genocide in Gaza. The UK has continued to support and arm Israel, despite mounting evidence of genocidal intent and systematic destruction of civilian life. This constitutes a breach of the UK’s duty to prevent genocide.

3. Violating the Arms Trade Treaty (ATT)Legal Basis:
Summary:
Under the ATT, the UK must not export arms if it knows they would be used to commit genocide, crimes against humanity, or war crimes. The UK has licensed the export of weapons, parts, and military tech to Israel — including components used in drone systems and targeting equipment.
Citations:
4. Suppression of Freedom of Expression & Assembly (Domestic + ICCPR)
Legal Basis:
Summary:
The UK has arrested, surveilled, and proscribed peaceful activists and protest groups (e.g., Palestine Action), violating international obligations to uphold freedom of expression and peaceful assembly.

5. Criminalising Humanitarian Advocacy
Legal Basis:
Summary:
Threats by UK Lawyers for Israel against Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) for using the word "genocide" — and broader campaigns to conflate criticism of Israel with anti-Semitism — violate the right to defend human rights and freedom of humanitarian expression.

6. Perverting the Course of Justice / Obstruction of International Investigations
Legal Basis:
Summary:
If the UK government (or associated organisations) attempts to prevent information sharing with international criminal tribunals, or harasses individuals cooperating with human rights bodies (e.g., campaigners, whistleblowers), it may constitute obstruction of justice under international law.

Home Secretary Yvette Cooper has invoked counter-terror legislation to silence dissent. Foreign Secretary David Lammy parrots discredited talking points about 'Israel’s right to self-defence' even after overwhelming documentation of war crimes in Gaza (UNHRC report, June 2024). And Keir Starmer, the former human rights barrister, now leads a government that jails the truth-tellers and protects the arms dealers. It is no coincidence that the Israel Lobby has heavily funded these politicians.
Meanwhile, the space for lawful dissent is closing fast. Peaceful marches targeted. University events are cancelled. Academics are censored. Journalists are blacklisted. Arrests happen not for violence, but for carrying placards and chanting for peace.
And now, even humanitarian organisations are under attack. UK Lawyers for Israel has threatened Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) with legal action over billboard adverts calling out genocide, claiming such language could 'offend Jewish people' (Jewish Chronicle, July 2025). MSF, whose doctors have risked their lives in Gaza, stands accused not of inaccuracy, but of hurting feelings. This is a grotesque attempt to equate factual, humanitarian speech with anti-Semitism, an insult to truth, to memory, and to the many Jewish people who oppose Israel’s war crimes.
In the same week, government so called anti-Semitism advisor Lord John Mann claimed that Jews were facing workplace harassment in Britain 'because of what is happening in Israel' (The Times, 16 July 2025). The claim was evidence-free and politically timed, designed not to protect Jews, but to delegitimise criticism of Israel and deflect from the UK’s own complicity. This is not anti-racism: this is weaponised bullshit.
Let us be clear: under international law, it is not the placard-holders, the whistle-blowers, or the humanitarian workers who are guilty. It is the politicians, the weapons manufacturers, and the institutions enabling war crimes. Those in positions of power who facilitate such crimes, through arms deals, political cover, and repression of protest should not be sitting in Westminster. They should be under investigation at The Hague. The British people deserve better. We deserve a government that defends human rights, not war criminals. A political class that protects liberty, not erodes it. A democracy that lives up to its name, not one that makes a mockery of it with every handcuff and press release. To criminalise protest is to criminalise hope.
To brand resistance as terror is to reveal the terror you feel in the face of truth. The world is watching. And history will not forget which side you stood on.
And Sir Keir Starmer, once a respected human rights lawyer and former Director of Public Prosecutions, cannot credibly deny his complicity in the ongoing war crimes committed in Gaza. His government’s active support for Israel’s military operations, through continued arms sales, diplomatic backing, and the repression of peaceful protest, stands in stark contradiction to the principles he once championed in his legal career. Starmer’s failure to hold Israel accountable or to halt UK complicity implicates him personally and politically in violations of international humanitarian law. To claim innocence while enabling state-sponsored atrocities amounts to a betrayal of both his legal oath and the fundamental human rights he once defended.
We need to remember that our politicians are not above the law. Regardless of their rank or office, those who enable, support, or turn a blind eye to war crimes must be held accountable. Complicity in such grave violations of international humanitarian law is a criminal offence under both domestic and international statutes. It is not enough to posture or issue hollow condemnations. True justice demands that political leaders, including Sir Keir Starmer and his Cabinet, face investigation and prosecution for their role in facilitating and perpetuating these atrocities. No one is immune, and impunity must end.

Request for Investigation into Complicity in War Crimes by UK Government Officials and Labour Friends of Israel
Dear Prosecutor, I write to formally request that the Office of the Prosecutor initiate a full investigation into potential crimes under the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court committed by senior UK government officials and political actors, specifically: Sir Keir Starmer, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom; David Lammy, Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs; Yvette Cooper, Secretary of State for the Home Department; and Members of Labour Friends of Israel (LFI), a parliamentary group supporting Israeli policies.
The basis for this request arises from credible evidence and well-documented reports indicating that these individuals and groups have knowingly facilitated, supported, and enabled violations of international humanitarian law, including war crimes, through their continued political and material support for Israel during its military operations in Gaza. This includes the ongoing supply of arms and military technology, diplomatic protection of unlawful conduct, and the use of domestic legislation to criminalise peaceful protest and silence humanitarian advocacy.
Under the Rome Statute, to which the United Kingdom is a State Party, individuals may bear criminal responsibility for aiding and abetting the commission of war crimes. The UK government’s active role in sustaining Israel’s military campaign despite overwhelming evidence from UN bodies, human rights organisations, and medical humanitarian groups of deliberate attacks on civilians, hospitals, and schools, raises serious questions about complicity.
Furthermore, the proscription and criminalisation of groups such as Palestine Action, who engage solely in non-violent protest against arms companies linked to the conflict, represents a disturbing misuse of counter-terrorism laws to suppress dissent and shield ongoing violations.
We urge your office to: Open a prompt investigation into the conduct of these officials and groups for complicity in war crimes; Assess the legality of UK arms exports to Israel in the context of ongoing hostilities and violations; Examine the UK government’s domestic repression of peaceful protest in light of their obligations under international law. This investigation is vital to uphold the principles of international justice, accountability, and the protection of human rights. We respectfully submit this request on behalf of concerned citizens committed to the rule of law and the prevention of impunity. Thank you for your attention to this grave matter.
Yours sincerely, [Your Name]
