TetleysTLDR: The Summary

Trump’s 20 point 'peace plan' for Gaza is nothing more than a colonial diktat: it's Fuck Palestine in policy form. Behind the talk of ceasefires and reconstruction lies a programme of pacification, foreign control, and profiteering.  Palestinians are stripped of sovereignty, forced to accept a technocratic puppet committee, and policed by an international occupation force while Israel reserves the right to storm in at will.  Gaza is to be demilitarised, its borders, trade, and police controlled by outsiders, its education rewritten, its politics cleansed of resistance.

Reconstruction is just disaster capitalism:  Western contractors and investors will cash in while Palestinians are reduced to a captive market.  The plan doesn’t touch settlements, Jerusalem, or refugees, because it was never about justice, only about entrenching Israeli dominance and opening Gaza to neoliberal plunder. Trump calls it peace. In truth, it’s a 20-point humiliation: imperialism with a smiley face.

TetleysTLDR: The article

Donald Trump’s so-called 20-point plan for peace is not a peace plan.  It’s a diktat, a colonial blueprint and nothing but a sick joke dressed up in the language of ceasefires and reconstruction.  Strip away the diplomatic spin and what you’ve got is this: Fuck Palestine. That’s the real slogan at the heart of this imperial power-grab.

This isn’t about ending war and it isn’t about freedom for Palestinians. What it is about is cementing Israeli dominance, feeding Western corporations fat reconstruction contracts, and ensuring that Palestinians are forever punished, whether they supported Hamas, opposed them, or just wanted to live a life free of bombs.  Trump’s plan is nothing more than a neon-lit notice that the West intends to carve up Gaza, pacify it, and sell it off to the highest bidder.

The plan doesn’t give Palestinians their own government.  Instead, it gives them a technocratic committee hand-picked and supervised by outsiders including it appears Tony fucking Blair.  An International Board of Peace run, of course, by Washington’s cronies will sit over Gaza like some colonial governor’s office. Palestinians are not seen as a people with the right to self-determination, but as unruly natives in need of adult supervision.  It’s the British Mandate all over again, only with American branding.

Trump demands Gaza be stripped of all weapons while a shiny new International Stabilisation Force polices the territory.  Translation: a foreign army of occupation, flying a different flag but serving the same master.  Israel keeps its perimeter forces and the right to storm back in whenever it wants.  That’s not peace, that’s permanent pacification.  Palestinians aren’t being offered security. They’re being offered open-air imprisonment with different guards.

Collective punishment

The plan doesn’t distinguish between Hamas militants and ordinary civilians.  If you’re Palestinian, you’re guilty.  If you don’t comply with every clause, you’re punished collectively.  Your city doesn’t get rebuilt.  Your infrastructure doesn’t get repaired.  You’re locked in dependency until you bow to every demand of the occupiers.  It doesn’t matter if you resisted Hamas, hated them, or never lifted a finger, you’re all forced to pay the price.  That’s the textbook definition of collective punishment, a war crime dressed up as policy.

Reconstruction as an investement opportunity

And then comes the real meat of the plan: reconstruction.  But not reconstruction for Palestinians, reconstruction for Wall Street - for Western contractors, for Gulf investors itching to buy up Gaza’s coastline.  The bulldozers that flattened Gaza will be followed by bulldozers that rebuild it, at a price, with profits flowing to Bechtel, Halliburton, and whatever Israeli or American firm gets the contract.  Palestinians become a captive market: their water, their energy, their housing, their data, all handed over to foreign corporations under the excuse of 'aid'.  This is disaster capitalism in its purest form. First you bomb a country into rubble.  Then you send in the accountants and consultants to privatise its future.

No justice, no statehood, no future

Notice what the plan doesn’t touch: the West Bank, East Jerusalem, the right of return, illegal settlements, water theft, land seizures.  Those are quietly shoved under the carpet.  Israel keeps the spoils.  Palestinians get a few vague promises of 'self-determination' if they behave like good little colonial subjects and jump through the hoops of 'reform'.   Statehood is not on the table.  Sovereignty is not on the table.  Justice for war crimes?  Forget it. The blood of tens of thousands of Palestinians is to be washed away under the bland language of 'reconstruction'.

This is not a peace process. This is imperialism 101: war, destruction, pacification, reconstruction, profit.  The United States cements its role as arbiter and enforcer. Israel gets carte blanche to keep its boot on the neck of Palestine.  Western companies get a windfall and Palestinians are told to shut up, obey, and be grateful for the scraps.

The so-called 20 points are nothing but a 20-point cage. Every clause is designed to reinforce dependence, strip away autonomy, and ensure that Palestine never rises again as a sovereign, self-determining nation.  So any pretence of a two state solution dies with it.

So why don't we look at this 20 point plan

1. Immediate Ceasefire

Sounds good, right?  But it’s a ceasefire on Israel’s terms.  Israel halts its bombs only if Palestinians accept foreign troops on their soil.  That’s not peace. That’s the Mafia saying, “Stop bleeding, we’ll bandage you, if you sign over the deeds to your house.”

2. Return of All Hostages Within 72 Hours

All decent people would like to see the return of the hostages, but there's an assumption that the hostages are all Israeli.  Nothing is mentioned about all the illegally detailed Palestinians in Israel including children who are hostages in all but name. Trump frames this like a humanitarian gesture. In reality, it’s a loaded gun to the head of Gaza: hand over hostages immediately, or the bombs start falling again. So no similar demand is made of Israel to stop jailing thousands of Palestinians without trial. One rule for the coloniser, another for the colonised.  And that happened long before October 7th.

3. Release of Selected Palestinian Prisoners

Selected. By Israel, not by Palestinians. It’s crumbs thrown to make the plan look balanced.  While thousands remain locked up, tortured, and denied rights, a handful are released as a PR stunt. That’s not justice, that’s tokenism.

4. Deployment of an International Stabilisation Force (ISF)

This is the heart of the scam: foreign soldiers patrolling Gaza, answerable not to Palestinians but to Washington, Brussels, and Tel Aviv. Another layer of occupation with a nicer logo. Call it what it is: colonisation

5. Demilitarisation of Gaza

Palestinians lose their right to resist.  Israel keeps its army, its nukes, its F-35s. Palestinians aren’t even allowed rifles. This is pacification dressed up as peace.  An enslaved people stripped of arms is not free, it’s defenceless.  It's like replacing the SS in the Concentration camp with an international police force.  Less psychopths on the ground but its still a prison.

6. Israel Retains Right to Re-Enter

Even if the ISF is in charge, Israel reserves the right to invade whenever it pleases. So much for sovereignty.  Imagine France saying it could storm Kent anytime it liked, and Britain being told to smile about it.

7. Technocratic Governance Committee

A committee of experts vetted by outsiders to run Gaza.  No elections, no accountability, no popular mandate: just Western-approved technocrats ensuring Gaza remains docile and open for business.  Colonial rule 2.0.

8. Oversight by an International Board of Peace

Headed by, you guessed it, the United States.  Trump, the man who moved the US embassy to Jerusalem and called all Palestinians terrorists now gets to referee their peace. This isn’t oversight. It’s dictatorship with a boardroom table.

9. Ban on Hamas in Governance

Lets be honest, no one will miss HAMAS.  They were set up by MOSSAD to prevent a two-state solution by splitting the Palestinians politically.  But this is not about just Hamas. Any Palestinian force that resists occupation will be tarred with the same brush and excluded. No Hamas quickly becomes No resistance, no nationalism, no voices we don’t like.  It’s political cleansing.

10. Conditional Amnesty for Hamas Fighters

Trump offers Hamas members amnesty if they disarm or leave Gaza. Translation: give up your weapons, or we’ll kill you.  It’s exile or surrender. That’s not amnesty, it’s forced capitulation.  And who's to say the Israelis will honour that amnesty.

11. Reconstruction Fund (Internationally Managed)

Sounds generous.  But who manages the billions?  Western banks, Gulf investors, US corporations?  Gaza’s rebuilding becomes a feeding frenzy for Bechtel, Halliburton, Siemens, and Israeli contractors. Palestinians pay with their land, while others pocket the profits.

12. Privatised Infrastructure Projects

Every road, water pipe, and power station is a profit stream for outsiders. Reconstruction won’t mean sovereignty.  It’ll mean utility bills controlled by foreign corporations, sucking money out of Gaza like a vacuum.  Oh and all that lovely natural gas in the Gaza basin.

13. Trade Corridors Under International Supervision

Palestinians don’t get to decide what goods come in or out. The international community does. Translation: Israel and its allies keep their hands on the tap of Gaza’s economy.  Imports and exports and work visas continue to be the weapons of control that created resistance in the first place.

14. Foreign Investment Incentives

Tax breaks, sweetheart deals, special economic zones everything Gaza’s destroyed economy needs, but tilted to lure Western capital.  Palestinians won’t own their future. Goldman Sachs will.

15. Reformed Police and Security Services

The ISF will train Gaza’s police to police Palestinians not Israel. In other words, Gaza gets a security force that serves as colonial enforcers.  A brown-skinned buffer to protect white-skinned settler colonial power.

16. Revised Education Curriculum

Expect reform to mean stripping out any history of resistance, anti-colonial struggle, or Palestinian identity.  Gaza’s children will be taught to forget occupation and memorise the virtues of coexistence with their oppressors.

17. Border Crossings Controlled by the ISF

Palestinians still won’t control their own borders.  Movement in and out of Gaza will be policed by foreign soldiers.  Travel will be a privilege, not a right, handed out on terms set by the occupiers.

18. Pathway to Palestinian Self-Determination

This is nothing but a cruel joke.  There are no timelines, no guarantees, just a vague maybe someday if Palestinians behave perfectly.  Meanwhile, Israel keeps gobbling up land in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.  Statehood is a mirage dangled to keep hope on life support.  And Netanyahu continues to state that there will never be a two-state solution.

19. Israel’s Security Guaranteed

Every clause in this plan guarantees Israel’s security.  Not a single one guarantees Palestinian security.  Israel gets safety.  Palestinians get conditions.  That’s not balance.  That’s oppression.

20. Silence on Settlements, Refugees, and Jerusalem

Not a fucking word on Israeli war crimes or land theft in the West Bank.  The three pillars of the Palestinian cause: the abolition of illegal West Bank settlements, the right of return, the capital in East Jerusalem are simply ignored. The message is clear: these issues are dead.  Palestine as a nation is erased with the stroke of a pen.

Every single point boils down to the same logic: Israel and its Western allies get control.  Palestinians get silence, dependency, and the privilege of being rebuilt as a playground for foreign capital.   Trump calls it peace. The media calls it a plan. Let’s call it what it is: a colonial straightjacket, a scam, a 20-point humiliation designed to turn Gaza into a laboratory for neoliberal imperialism.  The truth can be summed up in two words Fuck Palestine.  That’s what this plan says. And until the world stops swallowing these imperialist fairy tales, that’s what Palestinians will keep hearing, in bombs, in bulldozers, and in boardrooms.

If HAMAS rejects this then it will be HAMAS who is blamed for the continuation of the war that will continue to kill Palestinians irrespective of whether they support HAMAS or not, including children too young to understand who HAMAS is or what this war is even about.  And Trump wants his Nobel Peace Prize - cunt.

Fuck Palestine.  That’s what Trump’s plan says. Fuck your right to self-determination. Fuck your dead children. Fuck your destroyed homes. Fuck your history. Fuck your future. The whole thing is a colonial heist with a flag stuck on top.

And we’re supposed to call it a peace plan?  No. Call it what it is: a scam, a racket, a piece of imperialist theatre where the only winners are Israel’s war machine, Trump’s donors, and the corporations lining up to profit from Palestinian suffering.

Let me ask you one thing: forget about HAMAS for one second and look at this objectively: if we were oppressed by a foreign power - who kidnapped our people and held them without trial, who stole our housing and said they are theirs now, who committed acts of violence with impunity while the police looked on, who spent inordinate amounts of money ensuring that foreign politicians kept their noses out and didn't shout out too much about the atrocities, who committed war crimes and used the might of their military against predominantly unarmed civilians, mainly women and children:  do you think for one second we would sit down and take it?  If the threatened war with comes with Russia and they win and occupy us, do you think we'll just sit back and that there'll be no resistance to the inevitable atrocities that will follow?  If your answer to that is that we wouldn't, then without supporting or justifying their cause you've just understood why the PLO, HAMAS and every other Palestinian resistance that has existed.  And why there has been Palestinian resistance ever since the Haganah started attacking Palestinian villages in the British mandate in the 1920s.  Furthermore, without lending support to their cause, you've also just understood the reason for the IRA in Northern Ireland, the Basque separatists in Spain and every liberation group that's ever existed.

If there’s one lesson in this entire charade, it’s this: liberation will never come from the barrel of an American plan. It will come from resistance, solidarity, and tearing down the rotten edifice of imperialism that Trump and his ilk are desperately trying to keep alive.  Have we learned nothing from the 20th Century?  Resistance doesn't happen in a vacuum, it only happens when there is something to resist.
