The case against Labour Friends of Israel

In a functioning democracy, a political organisation that aligns itself so slavishly with a foreign government accused of genocide, ethnic cleansing, child killing and apartheid would be under immediate investigation, not sitting smugly on the green benches of Westminster.  But Britain, in 2025, is a democracy in name only.  And Labour Friends of Israel: the slick, well-funded pressure group embedded like a parasite within the ruling party, is not just complicit in the crimes of the Israeli state. They are enablers. Cheerleaders. Accessories to state terrorism.

While the bodies pile up in Gaza and the West Bank, while the ICC names senior Israeli ministers and generals in sealed indictments for war crimes and crimes against humanity, Labour Friends of Israel continues to issue mealy-mouthed statements about Israel’s ‘right to defend itself’, a phrase now so drenched in blood it should be classed as hate speech.  As if starving children, bulldozing homes, assassinating journalists, and bombing hospitals were acts of self-defence rather than the cold, calculated operations of a rogue, apartheid regime.

Well let's talk about Labour  Friends of Israel.  Labour Friends of Israel claim they want a two-state solution, but the evidence doesn't stack up for this, not even remotely.  It’s a hollow mantra, repeated like a prayer to deflect criticism while the Israeli state continues its project of violent annexation, settler colonialism, and apartheid with impunity.  You can’t credibly call for a two-state solution while cheerleading a regime that is actively erasing the possibility of a Palestinian state, through illegal settlements, ethnic cleansing, military occupation, and, in Gaza, outright annihilation.  LFI’s record speaks for itself.  They have consistently backed Israeli government policy, regardless of how extreme or far-right the regime in power is.  When Netanyahu declared that Israel is 'The nation-state of the Jewish people, and only it', effectively denying equal rights to Palestinians, LFI said nothing.  When the IDF bombed hospitals, schools, and refugee camps, LFI didn’t call for sanctions, accountability, or even a ceasefire and instead they echoed Israeli talking points and smeared those calling for peace and justice as antisemitic.  Their version of a two-state solution is a rhetorical fig leaf, a diplomatic corpse dragged out to sanitise collaboration with state terrorism.  In practice, they are enabling the machinery of apartheid.  They say 'two states' but fund trips to settlements.  They say 'peace' while defending a blockade that starves civilians.  They say 'security' while demonising anyone, including Jewish anti-Zionists who dare to speak the truth about what’s happening.

In reality, LFI functions as a pressure group for a foreign state engaged in war crimes, not a voice for peace.  Their loyalty is not to international law, human rights, or justice, it's to the maintenance of British complicity.  And let’s be honest: no serious advocate for a viable Palestinian state would align themselves with a government that denies its very right to exist. So no, they don’t want a two-state solution. They want silence. They want acquiescence. They want the Labour Party to be a safe pair of hands for apartheid. And until they’re confronted and discredited, the blood on Britain’s hands will keep dripping.

And what does Labour do?  Does it distance itself?  Does it reaffirm support for international law?  Not a chance. This is Starmer's Labour, we're talking about - the so called fucking human rights lawyer that leads a party where conscience goes to die.  Where party members are purged for criticising Israeli war crimes, while those facilitating them are promoted.  Where Labour MPs proudly tweet photos with LFI banners while Israel illegally boards the MV Madleen, a peaceful aid ship in international waters, in an act of piracy that should have triggered diplomatic crisis, not Whitehall indifference.

But it gets worse. Far worse.

Because the British state isn’t just looking the other way.  It’s actively helping.  RAF surveillance missions, we now know, have fed Israeli targeting systems, handing over intelligence that enables war crimes from the air.  This isn’t neutrality.  It’s collusion.  And under UK and international law, it’s complicity in crimes against humanity.

The Rome Statute of the ICC is clear: aiding or abetting war crimes is itself a war crime. There is no immunity for politicians who rubber‑stamp genocide by proxy. There is no clause in the Geneva Conventions that says ‘unless you’re trying to impress AIPAC’.  The UK is now a state sponsor of Israeli terrorism, and Labour Friends of Israel is its smiling front office, laundering the blood‑soaked policies of a fascistic ethno‑nationalist regime through the respectable facade of parliamentary democracy.

And no amount of gaslighting and faux conflation from the fucking alleged Chief Rabbi can detract from that.

Tzipi Livni - An Israeli POS that is posing as an ambassador addressing an equally awful POS group, the LFI.

Let’s be honest about what LFI is: not just a lobby group, but a fifth column.  An internal pressure network whose sole purpose is to align British foreign policy with the strategic interests of a rogue state.  And don’t give me the weapons grade bullshit about ‘cultural ties’ and ‘shared values’.  What exactly are those values? collective punishment?  Child detention? Settler colonialism backed by tanks and bulldozers?  It’s time to call this what it is: state terrorism. The use of state apparatus: military, diplomatic, and political to terrorise a civilian population through violence, starvation, displacement and surveillance. And anyone in Westminster who supports it, funds it, apologises for it or pretends it isn’t happening is complicit. This includes the Labour Government. This includes Keir Starmer, David Lammy, and every LFI‑affiliated MP who votes to maintain arms exports to Israel while Gaza lies in ruins.  It includes every minister who says 'Israel is our ally' while that ally uses British intelligence to flatten schools.

And two questions need to be asked:  Firstly, why would so called left wing Labour MPs want to associate themselves with a far-right ethno-state involved in genocide; and secondly why on earth would you want to be friends with these fuckers?   Of course we could follow the money but that's on another blog:  The case against Sir Kier Starmer

As of 2025, the UK continues to authorise arms exports to Israel despite mounting evidence of Israeli war crimes in Gaza and the occupied West Bank. According to data from the UK Department for Business and Trade, hundreds of Standard Individual Export Licences (SIELs) remain active, covering items such as targeting equipment, drone components, military communications systems, and small arms ammunition. UK-based companies have also supplied F-35 fighter jet parts integral to the Israeli air force's bombing campaigns via the multinational Joint Strike Fighter programme. These contracts are still active despite the International Criminal Court’s request for arrest warrants against senior Israeli officials for war crimes, and in clear defiance of the UK’s obligations under the Arms Trade Treaty (Article 6), which prohibits transfers when there is a clear risk they could be used to commit serious violations of international humanitarian law. Campaign groups including CAAT (Campaign Against Arms Trade) and Amnesty International UK have called the ongoing exports 'unconscionable' while the government continues to claim that all contracts are subject to ‘rigorous scrutiny’ a position increasingly untenable in the face of mass civilian casualties and allegations of genocide.

Those F35 'tentbusters' aren't going to bomb kids on their own are they?  Not when the RAF can lend a helping hand.

They’re not just on the wrong side of history. They’re on the wrong side of the dock when the trials begin.

Under international law, a state or individual can be found complicit in war crimes if they knowingly aid or abet the commission of such crimes by another state. According to Article 25(3)(c) of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, a person is criminally responsible if they “for the purpose of facilitating the commission of such a crime, aids, abets or otherwise assists in its commission or its attempted commission, including providing the means for its commission” [ICC, Rome Statute, 1998]. This standard of complicity applies not just to direct perpetrators, but also to those who knowingly provide political, logistical, financial, or military support to a party committing war crimes. Furthermore, the International Law Commission’s Articles on State Responsibility (Articles 16 and 41) make it clear that a state that knowingly assists another state in the commission of an internationally wrongful act, including war crimes, is internationally responsible [ILC Articles, 2001].

In plain terms: if a government or organisation like Labour Friends of Israel supports, endorses, or materially enables a foreign regime engaged in systematic war crimes, as Israel is now accused of by both the United Nations and International Criminal Court, they may themselves be complicit under international law. This complicity is even more damning when that support continues after credible accusations have been made public, as it shows knowledge and intention

WRITE TO THE INTERNATIONAL CRIMINAL COURT IF YOUR MP IS ON THIS LIST

Anyone can submit a complaint, formally known as a communication, to the International Criminal Court (ICC), regardless of nationality or legal background. Individuals, NGOs, or civil society groups can provide information about alleged crimes under the Court’s jurisdiction, including genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes, and the crime of aggression. Submissions can be made via the ICC's Office of the Prosecutor, which reviews and assesses whether the information warrants a preliminary examination or formal investigation. Importantly, the process is open and accessible: no special legal status or permission is required, and submissions can be made online, by post, or email, with supporting evidence, testimony, or reports.

Below is the information you need to do so

How to File a Complaint to the ICC About an MP complicit in war crimes.

1.  Who to Contact Your complaint should be submitted to: Office of the Prosecutor

  • International Criminal Court
  • Post Office Box 19519
  • 2500 CM The Hague
  • The Netherlands Or by email: otp.informationdesk@icc-cpi.int

(For general queries. For formal submissions, see below.) Formal communications about crimes should be sent to: otp.informationdesk@icc-cpi.int

AND/OR uploaded via their web form: https://www.icc-cpi.int/contact-us 2. What to Include in Your Complaint The ICC recommends the following structure: A. Who You Are

  • Your name and contact details (you can also submit anonymously or as a group)
  • Whether you're an individual, NGO, legal team, etc.

 B. Who You Are Accusing

  • Name(s) of the MP(s)
  • Their official role (e.g. Vice-Chair of Labour Friends of Israel, Cabinet Minister)
  • Their connection to the alleged crimes (e.g. supporting, funding, legitimising war crimes by Israel)

 C. What Crimes You Believe Have Occurred The complaint should refer to the Rome Statute crimes:

  • War crimes (Art. 8)
  • Crimes against humanity (Art. 7)
  • Complicity (Art. 25(3)(c)) – aiding, abetting, facilitating

Explain how the UK MP has:

  • Provided support, justification, arms, or diplomatic cover
  • Ignored known allegations of war crimes
  • Facilitated ongoing crimes by materially or politically endorsing a party known to be committing them

Include factual examples – e.g., support for Israel after the ICC issued arrest warrants for its leaders, statements minimising or justifying alleged war crimes, or votes against ceasefire/resolutions.

D. Evidence

  • Media reports
  • Official records (Hansard votes, LFI statements, parliamentary speeches)
  • UN and ICC reports on Israel's actions
  • Social media or published commentary from the MP

 3.  Important Considerations

  • The ICC only has jurisdiction over individuals – not states – for Rome Statute crimes.
  • The UK is a State Party, so ICC jurisdiction applies to British citizens including MPs and Ministers.
  • The Prosecutor is not obliged to investigate every communication, but thousands of past communications have contributed to opening preliminary examinations and full investigations.
  • Be clear and concise. Use legal terminology (e.g., complicity, facilitation, aiding and abetting, persecution) but don’t overload.

 4.  Example Wording (Start of Complaint) I am writing to submit a communication to the Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court under Article 15 of the Rome Statute, concerning the complicity of several Members of Parliament of the United Kingdom – specifically members and officers of Labour Friends of Israel – in the alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity currently under investigation by your office. The individuals named herein have, with full knowledge of the alleged crimes committed by the Government of Israel in Gaza and the West Bank, continued to provide political cover, material support, and public endorsements that have facilitated the continuation of said crimes, in violation of Articles 7 and 8 of the Rome Statute, and in line with complicity as outlined in Article 25(3)(c). 5.  Your

Rights & Safety

  • You can remain anonymous if you fear retaliation.
  • The ICC does not provide direct legal protection to complainants but treats all submissions as confidential.

Subject: Submission under Article 15 of the Rome Statute – Complicity of UK Members of Parliament in War Crimes and Crimes Against Humanity by the State of Israel

Dear Prosecutor,

I am writing to submit a formal communication under Article 15 of the Rome Statute concerning the complicity of certain United Kingdom Members of Parliament, notably those affiliated with Labour Friends of Israel (LFI), in the alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity committed by the State of Israel in the occupied Palestinian territories, including Gaza and the West Bank, and during unlawful actions in international waters (e.g. the boarding of the MV Madleen). This complaint pertains specifically to the knowing facilitation and endorsement of internationally wrongful acts that fall within the Court's jurisdiction, namely under:

    • Article 7: Crimes Against Humanity
    • Article 8: War Crimes
    • Article 25(3)(c): Aiding, abetting or otherwise assisting in the commission of war crimes

 2.    Context

On 20 May 2024, the Prosecutor of the ICC, Karim A.A. Khan KC, applied for arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defence Minister Yoav Gallant, and senior Hamas leaders. These warrants relate to alleged war crimes including starvation as a method of warfare, targeted attacks on civilians, and collective punishment. Despite this, MPs affiliated with Labour Friends of Israel have: Publicly endorsed the Israeli government Repeatedly opposed ceasefire motions in Parliament Supported or remained silent during the ongoing blockade, occupation, and bombardment Failed to condemn or call for sanctions following the ICC’s announcement Praised or defended Israel’s actions during known war crimes, including hospital bombings and attacks on refugee camps These actions satisfy the legal threshold of aiding and abetting under Article 25(3)(c) of the Rome Statute and fall within the scope of state complicity under Articles 16 and 41 of the ILC’s Draft Articles on State Responsibility.

3.         Legal Framework & Jurisdiction

Under international law: The UK is a State Party to the Rome Statute The accused are UK nationals acting in their capacity as Members of Parliament The ICC has jurisdiction over war crimes, crimes against humanity, and individuals complicit in their commission Complicity does not require direct perpetration, only knowing assistance or encouragement Relevant articles: Rome Statute, Art. 7, 8, 25(3)(c) ILC Articles on State Responsibility, Art. 16, 41 Customary international humanitarian law UN Human Rights Council reports (2024–2025) ICC Press Release: https://www.icc-cpi.int/news

On 20 March 2024, MPs debated and rejected a petition calling for an "end to the siege of Gaza" via recognition of Palestine and a ceasefire en.wikipedia.org+2hansard.parliament.uk+2hansard.parliament.uk+2. On 29 November 2023, an SNP bill calling for an immediate ceasefire was debated but MPs (largely Conservative and Labour) voted no, with only SNP and some rebels supporting . In November 2023, the Commons voted down an amendment demanding a “Gaza ceasefire,” with 293 votes against and 125 in favour independent.co.uk.

2. LFI (Labour Friends of Israel) press releases supporting Israeli military action

On 17 October 2023, LFI called Hamas’s attacks “terror” and defended the need for Israel to respond forcefully lfi.org.uk+11lfi.org.uk+11lemonde.fr+11. On 18 March 2024, LFI praised the IDF for deeds like “flooding” Gaza with aid—while framing operations as security-driven and supportive lfi.org.uk. LFI also issued statements underscoring aid, intelligence, and Israeli operations, repeatedly condemning Hamas and implicitly backing IDF actions hansard.parliament.uk+14lfi.org.uk+14lfi.org.uk+14

3. Named MPs’ social-media posts endorsing Israeli government policy

Alex Davies‑Jones MP, an LFI supporter, abstained on ceasefire votes and withheld co-signing on arms export suspension—signals clear alignment en.wikipedia.org+4en.wikipedia.org+4lfi.org.uk+4. Additional MPs involved in LFI delegations and publicly praising IDF actions (e.g., David Lammy raising Israeli security law issues in PMQs) are documented. For example, Lammy has praised American–Israeli-led "humanitarian pauses" and affirmed UK support for Israeli intelligence in Commons debate lfi.org.uk

4. UK arms export data & diplomatic communications confirming material support

UK government actions: In October 2023, Rishi Sunak affirmed "unequivocal" support for Israel and pledged continued military and diplomatic backing theguardian.com+2en.wikipedia.org+2en.wikipedia.org+2en.wikipedia.org. 5.         Request

I respectfully request the Office of the Prosecutor to: Open a preliminary examination into the conduct of the aforementioned UK Parliamentarians; Investigate whether their political, logistical, or material support to the Government of Israel constitutes complicity under Article 25(3)(c); Clarify whether these actions fall under the scope of the Court’s ongoing investigations into international crimes in Palestine. Thank you for your attention to this communication. I am willing to provide further documentation, clarification, or testimony upon request.

TLDR: Complicity with Israeli War Crimes – UK & Labour Friends of Israel (LFI)

War Crimes, International Law & Complicity

  • Israel is under investigation by the ICC for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza and the West Bank, including deliberate targeting of civilians and starvation as a method of warfare.
  • UK government and LFI are complicit by continuing political, financial, and military support despite knowing these actions are likely illegal under international law.
  • Under Articles 25 and 28 of the Rome Statute, aiding or abetting war crimes even indirectly can make individuals criminally liable.
  • State complicity = liability: UK officials and MPs backing Israeli military actions may be personally culpable under customary international law.

 UK Law: Terrorism & Complicity

  • Under the Terrorism Act 2000, acts of violence against civilians to influence a government (even foreign) are terrorism.
  • Section 1: Israel’s conduct in Gaza (indiscriminate bombings, blockades) fits the UK legal definition of terrorism.
  • Section 15–19: Giving material support, funding, or endorsement to that — like LFI or UK Gov does — may be prosecutable.
  • Additional UK laws breached:
    • Accessories and Abettors Act 1861
    • Serious Crime Act 2007 (s44–46) – Encouraging or assisting crime
    • Human Rights Act 1998 – Breach of right to life (Article 2), freedom from torture (Article 3)
    • Geneva Conventions Act 1957 – UK has legal duty to prevent war crimes, not just abstain

UK Weapons Sales to Israel (2025)

  • UK still sells weapons, drone parts, targeting tech, and F-35 components to Israel.
  • These weapons are actively used in Gaza by the Israeli Air Force.
  • This violates the Arms Trade Treaty (Article 6), which forbids exports where war crimes are likely.
  • Despite ICC arrest warrant applications, UK arms exports continue — and ministers still rubber-stamp them.

How to Report MPs to the ICC

  • Any individual can submit evidence of criminal complicity to the ICC Office of the Prosecutor.
  • Email: otp.informationdesk@icc-cpi.int
  • Mail: Office of the Prosecutor, ICC, PO Box 19519, 2500 CM The Hague, Netherlands
  • Include:
    • Names of MPs (e.g. LFI members, cabinet ministers)
    • Evidence of public endorsements, funding decisions, votes, or contracts
    • Links to war crimes being committed with UK political/military support
  • The ICC doesn’t need state consent if the crimes happened on the territory of a Rome Statute signatory (Palestine is one).

Who Are Labour Friends of Israel (Post-2024)?

  • Chair: Jon Pearce MP (elected Sept 2024)
  • Vice-Chairs: Sharon Hodgson MP, Damien Egan MP, Mike Tapp MP
  • ~73 Labour MPs are current or recent supporters (Cabinet & backbench)
  • Notables: Wes Streeting, David Lammy, Rachel Reeves, Emily Thornberry, Peter Kyle, Jonathan Reynolds, Margaret Hodge, Keir Starmer (former), and more
  • 30+ peers also active supporters in the House of Lords
  • Many have accepted funded trips to Israel, supported Israeli positions in Parliament, or attacked the ICC process
